As a freelance journalist, Siep emerged in the field of news photography, and although he belonged to Magnum Photos, he left the group in 1958.

His work is known for innovative compositions, captivating stories, elegant and sometimes provocative subject matter.

This book is composed of unpublished works and contains plates taken from the 1950s to 2000. It is  full of highlights, from his early reportage through his fashion, landscapes, and portraits.
